Chiropractic is a form of healthcare that is both a science and an art. It focuses on treating neuromusculoskeletal disorders primarily through chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractors focus on non-invasive treatments to restore and enhance overall wellness and function.
That’s a loaded question! There are tons of conditions chiropractors treat, including: neck pain, back pain, disc herniations, sciatica, sprains, strains, postural imbalances, whiplash, headaches and migraines and more!
A chiropractic adjustment is a safe and precise joint mobilization aimed at correcting subluxations in the body. The audible pop isn’t the bone itself popping, it’s the rapid release of gas and tension in the joint that creates the sound.
Absolutely! There are numerous studies that show chiropractic treatment is safe when using specific, targeted adjustments in the correct segments.
Every patient is different. Every patient will have different amounts of treatments. The range of treatments needed is variable. Care plans are determined on a case-by-case basis and we pride ourselves in not treating anyone in the “one size fits all” approach.
There are numerous benefits to chiropractic care, including: pain relief, improved flexibility, improved mobility, improved athletic performance. We’ve even had patients report that their family members have noticed they’re in an overall better mood! In short, chiropractic care enhances your ability to function.
Just like with any medical treatment, there are risks associated with chiropractic treatment. These include but are not limited to, fractures, sprains, strains, dislocations, and in very rare cases, stroke. Your provider will make every effort during the consultation and examination to ensure no contraindications are present before care.
No. Chiropractic adjustments are not painful when delivered in a precise and accurate manner; however, adjustments can be somewhat uncomfortable, especially if it is your first time getting adjusted, or haven’t been adjusted in a long time.
You should pick me as your chiropractor because I take every effort to listen to every single one of my patients to truly understand their condition. I also leave no stone unturned and thoroughly examine the area that is affected. I provide tailored treatment on a case-by-case basis and do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. Lastly, I love what I do and it fires me up seeing patients improve!
It depends. Some appointments last as fast as five minutes. Longer appointments could take a little more than an hour. Every patient is different as in a different part of their care plan, so appointment times do vary.
Chiropractors go through a rigorous and intensive educational program. First, we go earn our four-year bachelor of science degree in undergraduate school. Then, we do an additional four years of doctorate school and must pass 5 national board examinations, then also pass a state-level exam to ensure we are qualified to earn our Doctor of Chiropractic license. Annual continuing education credits are required to stay licensed in the United States.
Yes! I’ve seen multiple pregnant patients and have had great results. Treatment for pregnant women must be different than the non-pregnant population, and we ensure that we tailor treatment to their needs.
Honestly, yes, and that’s a good thing! When you get chiropractic care, your body realizes how much it has been missing out on. Then, you become more self-aware of when things aren’t functioning the way they should be and you come back wanting more! We’re addicted to optimal function!
The audible pop isn’t the bone itself popping, it’s the rapid release of gas and tension in the joint fluid that creates the sound. This is called a “cavitation”.
NO! Absolutely not. When people pop their own neck or their own back, they don’t know what exactly they’re moving. Chiropractors are trained to identify exactly which segments to move, and in which direction. Adjusting oneself is a no go.
Some do and some do not.

Both are non-invasive treatments to restore function and overall wellness, but we achieve that in two distinct ways. Chiropractors focus more on spinal health and the chiropractic adjustment to ensure optimal neurological function. Physical therapists focus more on providing exercises and teaching movement patterns to restore function. Fun part about our office is that we offer both chiropractic care and therapeutic exercises to get the best results!
Absolutely! Sprains, strains, muscle spasms, shoulder issues, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, snapping hips, runner’s knee, ankle instability, and MORE are all things we have seen and have treated before.
Yes! One of the main goals for some patients is posture correction which we use a multi-faceted approach to help get corrected.
The chiropractor will test the joints in the spine and extremities and evaluate the motion of those segments in multiple directions. If there is tension, tenderness, a joint fixation, and inflammation in one area as opposed to another, a chiropractic adjustment will be delivered to that area. The patient will feel a pre-tensive feeling, followed by a quick force into the segment, then a post-tensive feeling to limit a “rebound” for better comfort. Lastly, the doctor will re-assess the motion of the segment that was moved.
Yes! Chiropractic is very safe for children as well. We use less force when adjusting for children, and we highly recommend for them to get care: they have super healing powers!
